About Leoben

With 25,000 inhabitants and almost 4,000 students Leoben is the second largest city of Styria, the economic centre of Upper Styria and capital of the district. The city has a long tradition of mining and metallurgy and is home to the University of Leoben. Due to iron trading, Leoben is for centuries the gateway to the Styrian Iron Road. Leoben is also home to numerous high-tech companies such as Voestalpine Donawitz, Gösser Brewery, AT & S, Mayr-Melnhof, RHI, Sandvik ... and numerous innovative small R&D enterprises. Furthermore, the city has become the centre of HOCHsteiermark in terms of culture, experience, shopping, research and quality of living.

The RQ conference will be held at the Montanuniversität Leoben situated opposite the train station.

Hotels are within 8 min walk from the train station.

Student accommodation can be reached by bus leaving at the train station Direction Göss. Tickets can be purchased at the driver for € 2.50.

From the student accommodation a 15min walk or a bus ride (Direction Leoben Center) with line to the Montanuniverität brings you to the conference location.
